Jordan chose to study civil engineering because the curriculum aligned more with his ambitions in the areas of construction and project management.

Civil engineering is a best of both worlds major, where I could learn about scientific and technical concepts that challenge my problem-solving skills, while combining my interest in policy and community-oriented development.

My junior year I started as a research assistant in associate professor Nicole Fahrenfeld’s lab working on a project tracking the SARS-COV-2 virus through wastewater from treatment plants and Rutgers dorms.
